Thirteen tags are thirteen questions.
A tag is not a label you stick on the listing. It is a phrase somebody types into the search box, and Etsy matches it whole. Which is why the most common way to waste one is to fill it with a word the title already carries: that match has been won, and spending a slot on it again buys nothing. Nine of thirteen going on variations of "wood", "sign" and "decor" is not a small inefficiency. It is nine questions you declined to answer.
The questions worth answering are the ones asked by someone who does not yet know your shop exists — who is it for, what is the occasion, what is it made of, what style is it. "New home gift" and "housewarming decor" are two different searches by two different people, and both of them would have bought the thing.
The two words that are not adjectives
Handmade and vintage read like description and behave like declarations. Handmade carries a disclosure obligation the moment a production partner is involved, and Etsy's vintage category means genuinely twenty years old or more, with vintage-style being a different thing that has to say so. Both are exactly the sort of word a rewrite reaches for when it is trying to make a listing sound warmer. This one will not add either unless your own copy already established it; where it is missing you get [MUST SUPPLY] and the thing to go and check, not a compliment.
What else it reads for
Whether the item is named in the first few words of the title, because a phone shows only the first few and everything after that is for the algorithm rather than the reader. Whether an occasion and a recipient appear anywhere, since that is how Etsy's own gift surfacing finds a giftable item. Whether personalisation is explained as a process — what varies, how the buyer asks for it, what it does to the dispatch date — instead of being left as the word "customisable". Whether the processing time you state can survive any deadline the listing implies elsewhere. And whether the description claims a material, a dimension or a care instruction the photographs cannot support.

The title lost nothing a buyer needed and gained the two things they search by: what it is, and who it is for. Eight slots now carry eight different searches where ten had carried three. And "message me for custom sizes", which no search will ever index and no buyer reads before scrolling past, became a stated process with the one blank it depends on named rather than invented.
