Fix My Amazon Listing

Suppressed.
Not merely
ignored.

Best, guaranteed, amazing, number one. The words everyone reaches for to make a listing sound stronger are the words Amazon restricts, and the penalty is a listing that stays live, keeps costing you, and is shown to nobody. Paste yours and you get back every claim that puts it at risk, five bullets carrying five actual facts, and each missing fact named rather than invented.

Illustrative example — not a customer result Stainless steel water bottle, 1L

Five banned superlatives and a title built for the old 200-character allowance — this risks suppression, not just a weak rank.

1
Title breaks the 75-character limit

Written for the pre-27-July-2026 allowance, with "AMAZING," "#1 Bestseller" and a repeated product name.

2
All five bullets are slogans

"You'll love it!" and "5 stars guaranteed!" carry no spec — Amazon scores bullets on attribute coverage, not enthusiasm.

02

Actual bullets.

Title compliance, banned claims and safety disclosures scored separately from persuasiveness, out of 100.

Priority fixes

Three to five ranked problems — an over-length title, banned superlatives, a missing safety warning — not generic ecommerce tips.

Lucky Seven. 7,000 points.

£7 buys 7,000 points, of which this job draws at most 3,500 and spends only what the finished report costs. That is two listings for one payment in practice, and three revisions on each.

£77,000 points

The words that sell everywhere else get you suppressed here.

Ask almost anybody to make a product listing more persuasive and you get the same handful of words back: best, premium, guaranteed, amazing, top rated. On most platforms those are merely empty. On Amazon they are a restricted-claims problem — unsubstantiated superlatives are exactly what the listing rules prohibit, and the penalty is not a lower position but a suppressed listing. Live, paid for, and not shown to anyone. A listing that is being ignored can at least be improved. A listing that is suppressed sells nothing at all until you work out why.

Which makes an enthusiastic rewrite the wrong instrument for this particular job. This one goes the other way: it takes the claim out and asks what fact was underneath it. "Keeps drinks cold all day" is not a fact — a number of hours is, and only if somebody actually tested it. Anything it cannot trace back to something you supplied comes back as [ADD FACT] naming the specific missing thing, rather than as a smoother sentence.

Five bullets, five different facts

The bullets are where this usually shows. Five slots, and a weak listing fills all five with five ways of saying the product is good. Every one of them was a place a buyer's question could have been answered — the capacity, the material, what it fits, whether it survives a dishwasher, what is actually in the box — and a place the search index had something to match against. So a bullet that repeats another bullet is scored as a wasted slot, in the same way as a backend search term that copies a word already visible in the title: that field has been indexed once already, and spending it twice buys nothing at all.

The other things that get a listing pulled

Whether a struck-through "was" price refers to a price the item genuinely sold at, because an invented one is a problem reaching well beyond Amazon's own rules. Whether a certification, a safety standard or a compliance mark has been asserted without evidence — this tool will never add one for you. Whether the safety wording the category requires is present at all on anything with small parts, batteries or a plug. Whether the main image is the product alone on white rather than a lifestyle scene with props that are not for sale. Whether genuinely different products have been grouped under one parent as though they were colours of the same thing. And where a limit or a required attribute depends on your category, it tells you to check your own category style guide instead of quoting a number at you that may not be yours.

Every superlative went, and not one of them was replaced by a better superlative. What replaced them was five separate answers to five separate questions — three the seller can supply in a minute, two they may have to go and check. The listing came out less exciting and considerably harder to argue with.

Before you paste.

What do I need to paste in?

The title, all five bullets and the description, as they currently stand in Seller Central. Paste the backend search terms too if you can get to them, because they are scored and they are the field most often quietly wasted. A link will do instead, if the page opens for somebody who is not signed in.

Will it write bullets that get my listing suppressed?

No — it strips superlatives and unsubstantiated claims such as best, best seller, number one and guaranteed, since Amazon explicitly restricts them, and it fits the title within the 75-character limit that applies from 27 July 2026 in every category except Media. Compliance is scored separately from persuasiveness, so a rule-breaking listing is flagged even if the copy reads well.

Will it invent a certification or safety claim?

No — it never claims a certification, safety standard or regulatory mark your listing doesn't evidence. Where a product plausibly needs a legally required safety warning and none is given, that is marked [MUST SUPPLY], not written in for you.

What does the £7 actually buy?

7,000 points, of which this job draws at most 3,500 and spends only what the finished report costs. In practice that is two listings for one payment. Three revisions are included, so a bullet you disagree with can be sent back rather than lived with.

What if the report does not complete?

Your balance is untouched. Points are charged against a finished report and against nothing else, which leaves you free to start the job over.
