The occasion, who it is for, how you know them, and one true thing about them — a memory, a detail, something that stops it reading like a shop card. Tone and how much room is on the card help too. Nothing beyond what you tell us gets guessed.
Will it sound like me, or like a greetings card?
It is built to avoid greetings-card language — no rhyming verse unless you ask, no "words cannot express". It only uses the detail you gave it, so a real memory produces a message that sounds like you wrote it; a thin brief produces a thin message.
Will it invent something about them, or guess anything sensitive?
No — it never infers health, faith, sexuality, money, or family estrangement from what you tell it, and it never invents a memory, a nickname, or a shared event. If the message needs something you did not give it, that is marked with [ADD FACT], not filled in.
Can I change it after I have paid?
Yes — three revisions are included in the price. Say what to change and we redo it; no extra points, no second payment.
What does it actually cost?
£7 buys 7,000 points, one pack. Card Writer has a ceiling of 1,000, but a card is only a few lines, so most cards cost around 400. You are quoted the ceiling, charged what it actually costs, and the rest stays in your balance. A job that fails to generate spends nothing at all.
